Love Lace
This weekend I was lucky enough to visit the the Powerhouse museum in Sydney for the Young Blood emerging artists show. While there, I was able to slip away to the Love Lace exhibit, where I found myself swooning and the inventive and lovely variety of laces. Explore the artists and installations here or pop by the museum if you find yourself Sydneyside.

Season Envy
One of the most difficult things about living in Australia is that the beautiful things being posted on my favourite blogs usually correspond with the season directly opposite to the one outside my window. In the summer I lust after blankets, and flannel shirts, candles and stews, and now, although our winter has been sunny and crisp, I am constantly inspired by farmers markets, sandals, and picnics. Suffice it to say that I rarely cook seasonally.

Sad times
On Wednesday afternoon Chris came home from reading in the park to discover that someone had broken into our little Sydney apartment and made off with our laptops. It was an awful discovery, and shook me up quite a bit. Of course, it is just stuff (and memories. sigh.), and I am so greatful that Chris is okay!
Unfortunately, without my laptop (and files of all the beautiful things that I wanted to share with you guys) I might be a little slow on here until I get back on my feet. But don't worry larks, I'll be back with a vengence in no time!

Chevron
How luxurious and fun do these chevron invitations look? I love the ease of them and think they look very high-end, but some of my colleagues think it has quite a "junior" look to it.
What do you think?

Envelopes
Okay. I'll admit it. I am a hoarder.
A paper-product hoarder. I blame my mother for my disease, as she currupted me early and often in life.
During the process of packing for my move to the land of Oz, I was disgusted by how much I had accumulated in my first two decades of life. I have made a vow not to accumulate "stuff" in the way that I had. I have started to avoid bargain bins, and justifying purchases by price ("well, I don't love it, but it's only $1!").
Unfortunately, paper has foiled my resolution. I collect maps from my travels, pages from magazines, pretty wrapping paper that I have been given. My recent trip to Japan resulted in my suitcase being brought back over-flowing with washi tape, newspaper pages, and shopping bags with beautiful prints. Sometimes I use these lovely things to wrap gifts, but Ellie from Mint has inspired a beautiful way that I can recycle (and utilize) my paper collection.
